ECO-FABRICS
  • Bamboo - Highly sustainable, matures in 3-5 years.  Available in many colors.
  • Cocona -   Uses recycled coconut shells from food industry waste and combined with
    other fabrics.
  • Hemp -     Takes less toxins to process than cotton or wood.
  • Organic Cotton - grown free of toxic chemicals using biologically based and sustainable
growing methods (such as crop rotation) rather than with highly synthetic and
destructive fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides or pesticides. Certified organic cotton
must adhere to a strict set of guidelines based on the scientific method of organic
    agriculture.
  • Organic Wool - In order for wool to be certified as "organic," it must be produced in
accordance with federal standards for organic livestock production.
  • PLA -         stands for poly-lactic-acid. The fiber can be used in blends with cotton and
polyester, or alone. PLA is biodegradable like natural fibers and is made from a
    renewable resource.
  • Soy -             Thanks to the long fibers of the soy plant, it’s incredibly soft, light and
comfortable.  Soy fabric has natural antimicrobial properties, is very breathable,
provides natural UV protection, is moisture wicking
  • Recycyed Poly or Nylon - Nylon, being a synthetic fibre, takes hundreds of years to
decompose.  Carpeting and old fabrics are used, including some taken from landfills.
